Mary has experience in working with individuals, couples, children and adolescents. As well as general counselling, she has specialist experience in early years parenting and infant mental health. Her approach is person-centred, working with you to help identify and develop your innate strengths and coping skills to help you through life’s challenges.
She has experience in treating:
- Depressive disorders,
- Anxiety disorders including OCD, PTSD, Panic,
- Life adjustment difficulties and coping with change,
- Relationship stress including separation and divorce,
- Grief and loss,
- Work-related issues,
- Family conflict
- Addiction – alcohol and substance use, gambling.
Mary uses a variety of treatment methods depending on your needs. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-focussed Therapy, Mindfulness, Brief Psycho-dynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She also provides psycho-educational and skills training techniques.
